Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Hardware Engineer position is primarily responsible for material selection and design for use in a high magnetic field, as well as thermal and reliability considerations for operations in enclosed spaces. Additionally, the position requires leveraging commonality and supply chain resources to ensure robust material supply in production.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Designing new products and supporting Installed Base of Analog and/or Digital (may include some FPGAs) electrical boards, circuits, components and interconnects
- Designing activities involving A/D, D/A translation
- Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
- Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line
- Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
2. U.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications:
3.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
4.Must be willing to work in our [city, state] facility full-time

Desired Characteristics:
1.Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
2.Demonstrated circuit design experience in Analog or Mixed Signal disciplines
3.Circuit design and simulation tool experience
4.Demonstrated self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
5.Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
6.Global project experience
7.EMC compatible design/solution experience
8.Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
9.EEDP Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
10.Program Graduate
11.DFSS or Green Belt/Black Belt Certified (Six Sigma Design/Quality)
