The In-Market Host Acquisition Specialist will join a very fast-paced start-up environment in one of Airbnb’s most important, dynamic and high-profile markets. This person has the critical responsibility of ensuring that our listings span every neighborhood and desirable destination in the city. This will include building and improving our current host network. The In-Market Host Acquisition Specialist will make sure that we have a compelling selection of listings. In this mission, this motivated and driven business development specialist will be responsible for prioritizing and supervising all key initiatives on the host side of the platform and ensuring consistency between our brand and the hosts that we have in the market.
Responsibilities:
· Remote work possible - Jeju, Busan
· 6 months contract with overall responsibility for growing the quantity and variety of hosts and listings in a market
· Identify strategies to grow the market and set priorities to execute on opportunities and develop effective channels to acquire hosts
· On-board and educate local hosts with best hosting practices
· Overall responsibility for the quantity and variety of our hosts and listings in country
· Analyse and benchmark existing supply to identify opportunities and build our host network in order to provide the best possible experiences to guests
· Manages effective relationships with other key functions (marketing, community, PR, legal, product, analytics) to ensure seamless operations and consistent messaging to local hosts
Requirements:
· Proficiency in Business English and Korean language
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
· Flexibility to work mobile
· Passion for Airbnb and the sharing economy
· Being a host/traveller on Airbnb is a plus
· An understanding of the market you are working in and ability to research and analyse in order to capitalise
· Ability to negotiate with small local vendors and build relationships
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
