Graduate Development Program
Joining a full-time Graduate Development Program with AIG is a great way to enhance business acumen and to gain insight into the insurance industry. This program is for the next leaders of tomorrow, and is an exclusive and competitive entry into our organization for graduates from all degree disciplines. Participants are offered a truly global experience, commencing with the initial induction to the program when new hires come together for training and networking in one of our many global locations.
Within the Graduate Development Program, we offer two tracks:
Product Specialist

Product specialists focus on a particular career path within the insurance industry. You could find yourself working towards a career as an underwriter where you will develop insurance solutions that address the exposures of companies and individuals; or working towards to become an actuary where you will play a pivotal role in driving the results at AIG through your expertise in quantitative analysis, insurance pricing, loss reserving, and risk quantification. Whichever career path you choose, you will undergo an additional 1-2 weeks technical training at the start of the program in order to acquire the foundation and skills you need to get you up to speed in your chosen career path.
Country Specialist

This is a country rotational program where you will get hands on experience across our businesses. You could find yourself working closely with senior managers in Korea, where you will acquire country specific knowledge during the three 6 months rotations across various businesses. Also included in the program are 1-2 short overseas assignments where you will get a regional view of our businesses to broaden your perspective, skill set and network. At the end of the 18 month program, you will be assigned to a business function with a long term view to grow into a leadership position within the country.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED
- Minimum grade point average of 3.2 (out of 4.0)
- Enthusiastic and committed to pursuing a career in the global insurance industry
- Graduating between December 2013 to June 2014 and available for full-time employment starting July 2014. Recent graduates will also be considered
- Possess valid work visa for Korea
PREFERRED
AIG seeks candidates who have excelled in prior work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidates will be bold thinkers with an entrepreneurial bent, and a powerful blend of IQ (technical skills, consistent learning, statistical & financial acumen) and EQ (adaptive communication, empathy, listening skills, challenging with humility). We also look for a diverse background of experience, culture and thought. Successful candidates typically have a global perspective and a team-oriented track-record.
