Position : Junior Trader
Reporting to : Emerging Market Trading Head in Singapore
Location: Singapore
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overview
The Junior Trader is responsible for executing/trading financial market products and managing FM portfolio in accordance with a rule set up by both external and internal guideline under supervisory of senior managers. The Junior Trader is also responsible to support overall Financial Market (“FM”) business by conducting daily tasks and operations.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Trader for Emerging Market Trading in FM, your tasks and responsibilities will principally be:
- To manage KRW SGD HKD book with a trading budget
- To backup other Asian Currency trading activities
- To conduct daily operations including overall tasks within FM in order to support senior managers and business in a timely and professional manner
Person Specifications
To be considered for this role, the applicant would ideally possess the following pre-requisites:
- University degree in finance, economics, business or engineering;
- Strong ability to manage financial portfolio and execute financial products within authorised commitment limits.
- Sound product knowledge of general banking products; basic knowledge on economics and finance; and specific knowledge of foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives would be an added value;
- High level of self-motivation and result-oriented approach;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with/for local and global clients;
- Fluent in English and Korean, both verbally and written; and basic knowledge on MS office would be preferred
