Internship Opportunity

at the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea):

Korea’s largest foreign business organization

 

AMCHAM Korea is now accepting resumes for the following Three Teams

 

Communications Team (from August 31 to November 27, 2015)

The Communications Department builds and maintains AMCHAM’s relationship with the media and general public in Korea through the website, social media and publications of the Chamber.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Write and edit articles for AMCHAM publications including the quarterly Journal

- Write, translate and distribute press materials for major events including press releases

- Manage the Chamber’s website and social media

- Manage and update the press list and media database (photos, recordings, videos, etc.)

 

Government Affairs/PR Team (from August 26 to December 23, 2015)

The Government Affairs/Public Relations Department serves to further heighten AMCHAM's role as the bridge between the Korean and U.S. Governments and our member companies.  The Department maintains a close relationship with both the Korean and U.S. governments and exchanges opinions on policy issues in order to enhance the business environment in Korea. It also coordinates and participates in various seminars and meetings with government and quazi-government organizations in both countries.

 

Programs Team (from August 26 to November 27, 2015)

The Programs Department works on planning, managing and executing Chamber’s main business-oriented events and activities (e.g. business committee meetings, seminars, forums, events, etc.).

The Interns of the Programs Department will assist the Program & Communications Manager by conducting research to collect and report key information for various projects in a timely and organized manner. Interns will also have opportunities to attend meetings, seminars, forums and events, and help with organizing and running such events.

 

Requirements

- Bilingual (English and Korean)

- University/Graduate school student (or recent graduates)

- Detail-oriented, proactive, organized, responsible, professional

- Strong written & spoken communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills (*Photoshop and other skills preferred, but not necessary)

- Research experience preferred

Please note that we are only looking for full time interns and that the AMCHAM Internship Program is unpaid internship.
