Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) is the largest manager of infrastructure and real assets in the world with around 114 billion in assets under management across 26 countries through 32 funds as at September 2014. Macquarie Korea Asset Management (MKAM) is a licensed  wholly-owned fund manager of MIRA in Korea with a license to manage infrastructure and real estate assets. MKAM currently manages 4 funds and approximately A$4 billion of equity across 17 infrastructure/real estate businesses in Korea.

 

We are looking to recruit a Business Analyst to join the team based in Seoul. In this role you will work in a fast paced, challenging environment where you will be exposed to activities associated with fund management, corporate finance and capital markets.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the management of existing fund assets by executing activities such as asset valuation and performance analysis through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Assisting with the review and approval of asset acquisitions including analysis of the impact of acquisitions and appropriate funding strategy.
  • Working closely with other professional advisors in a transaction setting, including legal and financial advisors.
  • Assisting with or owning research projects and analysis relating to both existing and targeted assets.
  • Assisting with the preparation of management reports and board materials.
  • Preparation of marketing and investor relations materials for internal and external use.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Preferably have at least 2 years experience in investment banking or infrastructure sector.
  • Be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive and able to deliver against challenging targets with limited supervision and direction.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have strong analytical/numerical skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to liaise at all levels.
  • Have excellent spreadsheet skills including exposure to cash flow and ratio analysis.
  • Have strong presentation skills.
  • Have strong PowerPoint, Word and Bloomberg skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of business issues and be commercially astute.
  • Have excellent written and spoken Korean and English.
