Job Title

Trainee for Global Finance Department (GLFI) department (12 month’s program at the minimum) in SG CIB Seoul Office. Job will commence as soon as the successful candidate is identified.

SG in Korea

SG opened a branch in 1983 through which it offers a full range of debt, advisory and corporate banking services. Dealing with the top local companies, its primary focus is structured financing, as well as market operations - Foreign Exchange or interest rates.

 

Principal assignment or reason for existence

- Assist GLFI/EXT Korea team in origination, execution and post execution management of transactions i.e. making various client pitch materials, involving in credit approval process etc

- Assist GLFI/EXT Korea team for internal procedures i.e. various management and compliance reporting etc

 

Main responsibilities

- Credit approval process: Assist the team in producing good quality credit applications

- Research: Produce reports from various data sources (external and internal) to provide the team with industry/sector research, corporate research, or business intelligence

- Internal reporting: Support team for regular management and compliance reporting process

- KYC process: Assist the team in KYC process for GLFI/EXT Korea transactions

- Other: Support the team with administrative work when requested

 

Required Qualifications

- Prior internship or work experience preferred

- Relevant academic background i.e. finance, economics, or business administration major preferred

- Sound knowledge in accounting and financial analysis

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Good command of English

- Team Player / Multi Tasker
